A reducing valve has a pressure characteristic that the outlet pressure is a function of the inlet pressure when its outlet flow is fixed while its inlet pressure changes. According to the standard, the fluctuation of the outlet pressure should be smaller than 5% when the inlet pressure of the reducing valve changes;

A reducing valve has a flow characteristic that the outlet pressure is a function of the flow when the inlet pressure is fixed and the reducing vale is in a stable flow state. According to the standard, the fluctuation of the outlet pressure should be smaller than 10% when the flow changes;

According to the above flow characteristic, if the cooling water volume of the two units does not exceed the normal flow of a reducing valve, a reducing valve can work for two units. In terms of reliability, of course, it is not recommended to drive two units with only one reducing valve for a long time.
